With the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Nougat update starting to gain some momentum, we’d like to share some do’s and don’ts after installing Android 7.0 on your device.
Samsung promised to launch the Galaxy Note 5 Nougat in the first half of 2017, and the company easily fulfilled that promise.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android 7.0 Nougat update patch is currently rolling out alongside the company’s Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Tab Nougat updates.
We recently shared some pre-installation tips, including a few things you should do before installing Nougat, and some reasons for and not installing Android 7.0 Nougat on the Galaxy Note 5 when it’s released for your model.
Today we want to shift gears and review things to do after that You install the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Nougat update.
We also share with you a few things you don’t want to do after downloading the brand new operating system to your phone.
Test Your Connections
After installing your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Nougat update, you will want to test your device’s connectivity. You’ll also want to review your most important apps and services to make sure they’re working properly.
We recommend that you test your GPS right away to make sure it’s working properly. GPS issues are extremely common after major Android updates, so if you’re relying on GPS for your commute, you’ll want to make sure it’s stable and check. If you’re noticing issues, check out our fix list.

Samsung (carrier partners) has tested your Galaxy Note 5 Nougat update for issues but the issues are plaguing the Galaxy Note 5’s Nougat update. Some are small insects. Some are much bigger headaches, like random reboots and running out of battery.

Don’t Forget to Drop
Don’t forget to downgrade Nougat to Marshmallow.
If your Galaxy Note 5 takes a huge performance hit after Nougat, you can: Try downgrading to a previous version of Android.
The process is a huge pain and will delete files from your device (make sure to back them up), but if you can’t fix the problem yourself, switching to Marshmallow is an option.
