Geekbench 6 is an upgrade to the existing Geekbench 5 introduced in 2019 and includes support as well as new hardware standards. Results that better mimic the performance of real-world devices.
The big change in this iteration of Geekbench is an update to its datasets. It better reflects the more modern use of smartphones. These changes cover a wide range but include:

Geekbench 6 updated tests and scores
To better reflect modern workflows, Geekbench 6 adds new taskssuch as blurring backgrounds in video conferencing, filtering and adjusting images for social media, automatically removing unwanted objects from photos, detecting and marking objects in photos using machine learning models or using scripting languages to analyze, process and transform text.
Software will also make better use of hybrid architecturesLike those from Apple, Intel or Qualcomm. The new benchmark also takes longer to complete; This will provide a better understanding of how each device performs under longer workloads.
This approach increases the feasibility of multi-core testing and is more suitable for measuring the performance of different types of kernelsFor example, Cortex-X or Cortex-A of the latest Snapdragon. Finally, Primate Labs confirmed that Geekbench will remain free software, but there is also a Pro version that includes a professional license.
