Google Home is down, can’t automate tasks on Android

Google home devices

In addition to allowing you to control all the connected devices in your home from a single application, Google Home also offers the opportunity to configure many automatic tasks to run as often as you want, without your intervention. It is possible via this tab Automatic Actions The app provides access to different settings to configure your “personal routine”.

Unfortunately, this tab seems to be working since this morning. In fact, many Android users report that they encounter a 403 error when they try to open the tab. It looks like the latter isn’t entitled to any respite due to another large-scale bug affecting the Google Home ecosystem in December. As a reminder, a 403 error usually occurs when an application cannot access a resource on its servers.

Google Home no longer works on Android since this morning

Fortunately, routines created before this error continue to work properly. If an alarm needs to go off on your smartphone at 12:30 today, there’s no need to panic: it will go off as expected. This morning, on the other hand, it was impossible to create a new regular task, at least on your smartphone.

In fact, the tab is still available in the web version of the application and obviously is not a victim of the 403 error. If you want to access it today and your Android application is running, this is therefore a good alternative. Meanwhile, Google has yet to comment on the bug, so it’s hard to know when it will be fixed. Fortunately, not all devices seem to be affected by the issue. For example, we were not appointed to the editorial office.
