iPhone: Satellite communications include new roadside assistance

The good news is that since iOS 17.2, users with a Verizon SIM card can connect to Verizon via satellite to get roadside assistance on iPhone. This option is in addition to the already available AAA roadside assistance option, which was announced by Apple as part of iOS 17.

If you own an iPhone 14 or iPhone 15, you can now use the satellite connection not only to send emergency messages in case of an accident, but also Access to Verizon’s roadside assistance service.

Whether it’s the car locking up, running out of fuel or battery, or even a flat tire, this new option will save many iPhone owners. Unfortunately, it is not possible for such a service to come to other countries at the moment.
