LG G4 Debut Coming Up With Launch Event Confirmed

With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 both official and available for pre-order, the next major release will be the LG G4. We’ve already seen a few leaked images, but at the end of April, the company will officially announce its new smartphone. Invitations began sending out today that made fun of the G4 and potentially revealing one of its features.

Last year the LG G3 was announced in late May, and more than a month later, it fell far behind the competition. However, this version was earlier than the G2 before it, and the G2 came even earlier than the original Optimus G. In 2015, LG is doing the same thing again, releasing the new LG G4 earlier than the previous model. The launch is officially set for April 28.

In early February, the new LG G4 smartphone was somewhat confirmed by LG after some early rumors and soon all of this will be put to rest with the official announcement of the new device that will receive the Galaxy S6, One M9, iPhone 6 and more. . It’s not surprising that the invite didn’t reveal a device or shape of the future, but they do point to a major design change, or at least an option. Similar to the new Moto X released in late 2014, the back of the new LG G4 can be made of leather. Or at least a limited edition may have leather versus plastic that we’ve seen in leaks. They talk about you can feel the size of the new phone, they suggest leather materials, not to mention that the entire invitation has a beautifully stitched leather floor.

On Tuesday, April 28, LG will host an event in 6 cities to announce something new: New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul. That’s all we know for now, but we’ll update as more details emerge.

Leather probably won’t be the only option available, as we’re not sure how durable it will be and whether all potential buyers will want to go that route. Motorola offers the usual plastic, wood and leather in the 2014 Moto X, and (among others) will have some competition when the new LG G4 arrives in late April or early May.

Reports and rumors suggest a curved 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, an 8-core processor with 3GB of RAM (Snapdragon 810 or maybe 808), 32GB of internal storage with micro SD slot for expansion, and a new curved display the G line. Leaks of a curved device may not be accurate, so we’ll have to wait and see. What we do know is that the LG G4 will potentially be announced on April 28, with rumors suggesting a mid-May release date. Stay tuned!
