Warzone 2 Restore Honor mechanics revealed

The new Warzone 2 Restore Honor mechanic is exclusive to Ashika Island and allows you to receive bonus rewards for collecting your tags after you die. Jump into the Resurrection mode that returns in Warzone 2 Season 2 and head to Ashika Island to try to regain your honor. This is a pretty basic mechanic and can potentially provide useful rewards to keep you going, so make sure you know exactly how it works. How does Warzone 2 Restore Honor work?

The Restore Honor mechanic in Warzone 2 causes you to drop a tag the first time you die in any Battle Royale or Resurgence match on the Warzone 2 Ashika Island map. If you or a squadmate arrives at the place where you were killed and takes your ID, you will be rewarded with $1,000 in Cash and a UAV signal to reveal nearby enemies and Supply Crates. These tags are small loot items that you have to physically pick up, and not like the giant, floating tags found in Modern Warfare 2 Kill Confirmed.

Note that restoring your honor by collecting your tag is only possible after your first death in a match; therefore, if you die again, your tag is lost and cannot be retrieved by you or your team. However, if your tag collects and then you die again, you will drop the tag again, ready to be collected. After you die, you will also hear a voice line notifying you that your tag has been dropped – if you don’t hear this, your tag has been lost for the rest of the match. You’ll also be notified if a teammate collects your tag. More importantly, enemy players also can’t collect your tags to negate them, but they can clearly expect you to come back and collect them, so be careful while you regain your honor!
