13 Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Release Details Revealed

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumors are starting to heat up deeper into May as the Galaxy Note 5 release date approaches. Today, the rumors smashed a number of Galaxy Note 5 specs and also touched on the device’s highly anticipated launch date.

As we move away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, we’re starting to hear a lot about Samsung’s next big project, currently dubbed “Project Noble”. “Project Noble” is reportedly the codename for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5, the flagship successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 4.

While nothing has been confirmed, Galaxy Note 5 rumors started gaining momentum in May as we headed towards summer. Today, thanks to SamMobileWe take a look at some of the potential Galaxy Note 5 features and the Galaxy Note 5 launch date.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Launch Date

Samsung has released four versions of the Galaxy Note, and each was unveiled at IFA in Berlin, Germany. It seems that this will not change in 2015 either.

The publication claims that Samsung plans to announce the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA 2015. The trade show will kick off on September 4, but a specific Galaxy Note 5 launch date is still unconfirmed. Samsung usually announces the Galaxy Note flagship on or near the first day of IFA.

Although the device is said to be heading to AT&T and Verizon in the United States, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 release date is still out of reach.

Galaxy Note 5 Display

Galaxy Note 5 display rumors were all about the arrival of a large, 5.7-5.9-inch Ultra HD display. It is reported that the company will start producing on a 6-inch Ultra HD display with over 700 pixels per inch in the near future. If it can prepare the panel for fall in time, it could mean a switch from Quad HD resolution to Ultra HD.

The screen is not expected to have curves like the Galaxy Note Edge or Galaxy S6 Edge. Instead, it is said to be flat like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 4.

Galaxy Note 5 Processor

The report claims that Samsung will use a next-generation processor inside the Galaxy Note 5. Galaxy Note 5 rumors point to an Exynos 7422 processor, which is supposed to be “the company’s first all-in-one solution (ePoP)”. Combine CPU, GPU, RAM, storage and modem in one chip.”

Samsung is also said to be testing another chip, a new Exynos 7430 chipset, but the CPU is still just an engineering sample and likely won’t be ready in time for the Galaxy Note 5 launch. Samsung has reportedly not decided on a final chipset, but all signs point to the Exynos 7422, not the Exynos 7430.

That doesn’t rule out a Qualcomm chip for the Galaxy Note 5, but hints at more from Samsung.

This year, Samsung opted to use its own Exynos chips in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. In the past years, Samsung has opted to use a combination of Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs and its own chipsets.

A report from a random broadcast digital times claims Qualcomm’s Tried To bring Snapdragon chips back to Samsung’s flagship smartphones. and according to incoming report recode “Qualcomm plans to manufacture the next-generation Snapdragon 820 processor in Samsung’s chip factories.”

Also, “Qualcomm hopes Samsung’s move to use its factories will help them win back business for the next Galaxy S flagship.”

We may see Qualcomm sneak a chip into the Galaxy Note variant, but not the Galaxy Note 5.

Galaxy Note Edge 2

SamMobile It claims there will only be one version of the Galaxy Note 5. Samsung’s project “Project Zen” will reportedly be the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Note Edge and will not carry the Galaxy Note 5’s name into battle.

Finally, it looks like Samsung will launch a new Apple Watch competitor Along with the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA 2015.

In the making of MWC 2015, rumors suggested that Samsung would announce a new round smartwatch to compete with the Apple Watch. That announcement didn’t materialize, and now signs point to a delayed arrival at IFA in September. Samsung is famous for announcing wearables alongside its flagship smartphones at its Unpacked events.

The device is said to be codenamed “Orbis” and will come with a rotating bezel ring, among other features. When it does arrive, though, the Apple Watch will be on shelves for a few months.
