To play Wild Hearts with friends or strangers in online multiplayer, you can go through the Campfire, Hunter’s Gates or host games via the menu. There are basically a few ways to do this, and while none of them are extremely intuitive, it can definitely be worth it for some tough battles or if you’re using weapons that aren’t suitable for solo play. like Wild Hearts Hand Cannon. If you want to join or host a game with your friends or similarly strangers, here we will guide you through the Wild Hearts online multiplayer process.
Wild Hearts multiplayer and online co-op announced
You have several options for playing Wild Hearts in online multiplayer and cooperating with friends and strangers:
- Camp Fire. Build a Campfire via the Dragon Karakuri menu and rest where there will be an option for online play. You then specify the parameters of the game you are looking for – which monsters you want to fight, how you want to fight them, the language, etc. – you can enter and search for compatible lobbies you can join.
- Hunter Gates. The Hunter’s Gates, which are small blue wooden arches, are regularly located around the map. If there’s a blue, spinning portal inside, you can interact with it with the option to join players who are performing a mission or goal similar to what you’re doing. It’s a seamless, if somewhat random, process that gives you the chance to jump into a stranger’s match and help them out.
- Request Help. While on the map, you can select a quest or target monster, and then when you get close to Kemono there will be a “Ask for Help” option that also appears (as shown above). This effectively turns your game into an open lobby where people can come and join if they want, but there are no guarantees – you can do everything without anyone coming.
