WhatsApp has been rolling out a minor update to its Android app since this morning. A new interface for the settings menu in the program, marking the arrival of a new submenu dedicated to mobile data consumption, which now displays the profile picture in a more colorful set.

Less than a week after the previous update of the messaging client that brought sharing of PDF files within WhatsApp, the next update is already on the tip of its nose. This new version 2.12.506 marks the arrival of a new settings menu where a new submenu called “Data Usage” appears.
As the name suggests, it is dedicated mobile data usage. Specifically, it allows you to choose which types of media to download over Wifi, 3G/4G and roaming. It also includes an option to reduce data consumption during voice calls.
Let’s also note that now the “Profile” submenu will be replaced by the profile photo and username. As for the page in question, it introduces a new option that allows. change profile picture faster. Again, these are small but welcome improvements.
