Google Maps will have a new interface that is simpler and more efficient than what we currently have. This is very close to the upcoming design for the Play Store, which will be reworked to improve readability. The location sharing feature will also be reviewed: users will be able to share their location or a route more easily and quickly.
Google Maps users, wait a minute interface changes for application. Android Police conducted a review of the APK of Google Maps beta version 9.77 to determine what we will get in the next updates. It appears that major design changes are planned, including more sobriety and clarity.
Google Maps: interface and design to be revised
For example, we note the change in the list of saved locations. As we can see before/after suggested at the end of the article, the top space will now be occupied by a photo and the edit, add and share buttons in the middle of the screen, it looks much more. At first glance. The blue color is much less present in favor of a black font on a white background that is slightly more stylish and pleasing to the eye. On the other hand, we are losing space to showcase more businesses or venues.
We can only see that Google has decided to make such changes to its apps globally. The Google Play Store has also received a new design in this direction, with the disappearance of green in favor of white and black and the desire to show a clearer and simpler interface. So it’s up to Google Maps to get there.
There’s also a new location sharing feature. It will be possible to let their contacts request your location. You will then need to immediately accept or decline a request. With the old system, you had to invite your contact yourself to share a route or location, which was a more complex procedure, especially while driving. Google Maps is also testing the use of landmarks for navigation, rather than quoting the much-anticipated street names.
