Chad Johnson gets in trouble for PDA in Qatar
However, the American’s start to life in Qatar went horribly wrong as he was nearly arrested by the police for public displays of affection (PDA). Chad Johnson He took to Twitter to share his ordeal and how he nearly ended up in jail.
“I He was scolded (warned) for showing affection at the airport in Qatar, I didn’t know he was frowning, people made me nervous like I was going to jail. ”
The laws in Qatar are extremely strict on such matters and travel advisory advises tourists not to engage in such activities as it is unacceptable by the laws in force in the country. But it seems that Chad Johnson didn’t pay much attention to it and paid the price.
“Any intimacy between men and women (including young people) can lead to arrest. Unmarried cohabitation is prohibited in Qatar, and extramarital sex, whether for same-sex couples or opposite-sex couples, is illegal.”, states Qatar’s travel advice.
