The Carolina Panthers suffered their third defeat of the NFL 2022/23 season, and this has raised some questions among the team. Their last 26-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals came as they failed to maintain a 10-3 lead at halftime.
Panthers head coach Matt Rhule admitted that his team didn’t play well and could make a tough call regarding the Baker Mayfield experiment. But the head coach didn’t want to make a sudden call and asked for more time to himself before pulling the string.

Matt Rhule did not immediately respond as to who would be the first quarterback in Week 5.
Matt Rhule claimed that he would give a well-thought-out answer after thoroughly examining the tapes of the Panthers’ three defeats so far. Baker Mayfield hasn’t set the world on fire with his performances as a quarterback on his side, and he may have to sacrifice his position.
In these last 4 games, Baker Mayfield has collected three passes, completing only 54 percent of his passes, giving him a QB rating of 74.98, one of the worst among active starters. It only took 4 touchdowns to give Matt Rhule a big decision.
“I’ll stay away from the big picture until tomorrow,” Rhule said.
