In this beta version, Gboard has a new selection interface for emoticons. It’s now easier to navigate through all the phrases the keyboard has to offer, thanks to more precise categories.
Determined to allow “faster voice dictation”, Google now Dictate voicemail without needing internet connection. This option can be enabled by going to “Voice dictation” in your app’s settings and checking “Faster voice dictation”.
Google developers also decided to turn “predictive search” into “predictive content search”. The keyboard will now not only suggest search terms, but also words, GIFs, stickers or emoticons. As a result, the company made some aesthetic changes to the “Sand” theme of the keyboard.
