InvisibleShield Glass Curve Review: Galaxy S8 Screen Protector

There are many options for protecting the Galaxy S8 screen, but the curved screen poses a challenge for many Galaxy S8 screen protectors. After using the InvisibleShield Glass Curve Galaxy S8 screen protector for a few weeks, it’s a nice option for users, with some drawbacks.

InvisibleShield includes a small tray that makes the screensaver super simple to setup. There is almost no way to install the Glass Curve Galaxy S8 screen protector and it installed without any bubbles.

A common complaint about curved screen protectors is that they don’t stick to the phone. After using InvisbleShield’s Galaxy S8 screen protector every day and on a recent trip, it stayed safe. It shows no signs of coming off and holds tight even when testing the adhesiveness on the edges. If for some reason you encounter a problem with the screen protector cracking or falling off, you can replace it for free from InvisbleShield.

The edges of the screen protector are curved and take up almost the entire screen. You can see a small area between the edge of the screen and the super-small bezels that are exposed. There is a different look to the edge of the screen. This area seems to be there without the adhesive, but InvisibleShield tells us: “The InvisibleShield Glass Curve has a full perimeter adhesive that provides a secure seal around the edges of the InvisibleShield. The perimeter adhesive version is designed to hold the InvisibleShield in place in the event of a drop or impact.”

One downside to this design is that it can trap dust or lint along the edge of the screen. It is not below the screen and does not prevent us from using the Galaxy S8 edge display functions, but it is annoying to see. InvisibleShield says this shouldn’t be an issue if the edge is properly closed. If your screen protector becomes dusty and sticky over time, you can replace it for free. The protector remains intact, even if there is some lint on the edge of our screen.

The InvisbleShield Glass Curve Galaxy S8 screen protector offers good coverage but has a two-tone finish around the edges.

Touch sensitivity is very good with the InvisbleShield Glass Curve on the Galaxy S8. I can type at the same speed without a screensaver and can select that the items on the screen are reliable. Immediately after installation, some areas of the screen did not respond as well to touch as expected, but a day later the touch sensitivity is very close to that of our Galaxy S8 without a screen protector.

We didn’t do a drop test on the Galaxy S8, but after a 2.5 meter drop our Galaxy S8 Plus cracked and it definitely needs a Galaxy S8 screen protector and possibly a good Galaxy S8 case.
