Jamahal Hill recently made headlines on ESPN after defeating Thiago Santos at the UFC: Santos vs. Via Hill TKO. In the fight, Hill looked unstoppable and did not give the veteran a chance to recover throughout the fight. Prior to this win, Hill had a great win against Johnny Walker at UFC Vegas 48 where Hill won by KO. Constant performance like this got Hill into the conversation of a potential title contender in the future.
In a recent interview after UFC Vegas 59 MMA Time, Hill called out Jiri Prochazka and justified herself by comparing herself to Alex Pereira in the middleweight division. said:
“We’ve seen it before. how is this [Jiri] got the belt. He jumped and took the belt. Go to weight class, Alex Pereira. Isn’t that a leap? Everyone else is jumping around. Why don’t you skip ‘Sweet Dreams’? I feel extraordinarily matched with Jiri. I feel this is going to be an extraordinary fight and I feel like I can handle this fight. I feel this is going to be a great fight. This is a great show. I feel it would be very marketable. ”

Jamahal Hill makes a big jump in the UFC light heavyweight rankings
The new UFC light heavyweight rankings have emerged and have undergone some drastic changes in its time.
One of the most notable is Jamahal Hill’s move from its previous rank 10 to its current rank 6 position. Hill took a big leap forward after beating Santos in the last game. It looks like it’ll be okay for Hill to fight the division’s top five fighters. If all goes well, the champion can also fight Prochazka if he accepts the challenge.
Apart from Hill, Santos dropped to three positions. The Brazilian has won just one game in their last four octagonal games. Paul Craig has suffered a drop as he is currently ranked 10th in the league. Champion Prochazka is at the top below ex-champion Glover Teixeira.
Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev still fighters 3 and 4 in the division. Things are getting more and more interesting in the light heavyweight division and it will be exciting to see how things develop in the future.
