Devon Allen He’s wide receiver for the Eagles in the NFL this year, but a running meet on Sunday reminded the world that he’s also a talented athlete. Allen ran the third fastest time in the 110-meter hurdles in world history. Allen has also participated in the Olympics twice, finishing fifth in Rio in 2016 and fourth in Tokyo last summer.
Allen ran the 110 meters hurdles with a time of 12.84 at the New York Grand Prix held in New York on Sunday. Not only did he win the race with ease, he also set the third fastest time in history, after Aries Merritt, who set the world record 12.80 in 2012. Allen also played football and signed with the Eagles this year.

“When I do a lot of things, like football and athletics, trying to balance both, I need to be really conscious about my recovery, my sleep, my diet and everything like that.” Allen said, NBCSports.com. “So it locked me up a bit more, and it obviously works.”
Allen is aiming to run the world championship in July as well, but will soon notify the Eagles camp to pursue his bid for a spot in the NFL. On April 8, 2022, the day after he was brought to the training facilities, Allen signed a standard three-year rookie deal with the Eagles.
