Klay Thompson is probably the weapon he’ll have to take down the Boston Celtics in the NBA finals this season. The player is making his debut in 2019 after suffering two major injuries. He was expected to play last season, but he tore his ACL before it even started, which delayed his return.
Thompson was a big reason why the Golden State Warriors got to the point they had. He was very important on offense when needed. He had a 30-point night against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6 to qualify for the Western Conference Semifinals and once again helped the Warriors close Game 5 with 32 points against the Dallas Mavericks. Not only will his presence be important to his team, but he could potentially win the Finals MVP award as well.
Klay Thompson talks about his return to the NBA Finals two years later
Klay Thompson talked about his return to the NBA Finals on the media day before Game 1. “Life is in full circle, now he can play in the Finals. I watched them in college, at Staples in Game 7 with my dad in 2010. And now 12 years later and I can play for the team I’m based on.” said Klay.
“That’s great. Playing that team of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and KG in my rookie year was like a ‘Welcome to the NBA’ moment for me because just a few years ago I was watching them fight Kobe and Pau in the Finals. I was fascinated by how great these teams were, like the Celtics,” he added. This will definitely be something meaningful to the player as he enters his sixth final appearance as a Warrior.

As the dubs prepare for the most important series of their season, Guillermo talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live approached the cast to have a little chat with the cast. After the media day, Klay Thompson came across the funny personality. A few funny questions were asked. “I want to join the leaping brothers but I can’t swim” said Guillermo to Klay.
KT replied: “Luckily I have a boat so we can go out to the bay and teach you how to swim with a life jacket.” The Mexican presenter said: “I can’t play basketball either” the player asked “Then what kind of leap will it be, brother?” Guillermo had a funny reply, “I fucked up.” Thompson was later given a magic eight ball and asked him if he could find love this summer. The answer was, “Don’t count on it.”
