Google wants to make its Assistant smarter

Soon it will be possible to teach Google Assistant to speak and recognize your contacts’ names the way you pronounce them. for him, Google Assistant will listen and remember your pronunciation so it can pronounce them correctly in order.

Google is also making some improvements to help its Assistant understand the content of a conversation. This way, you will no longer need to use the same formula to turn on lights or program a timer. For this, Google has already made available for Search and Assistant’s associate certain words with all other words in a sentence, rather than taking them one at a time.

The American giant will also use BERT to further improve the quality of your conversations. Indeed, Google Assistant will now use all previous interactions and understand what is currently displayed on your smartphone or smart screen to better answer your questions. For now, all these features will be available in English only in the next few days, but Google plans to expand them to more languages ​​in the coming months.
