Facundo Bagnis harshly criticized the ATP President and expressed his gratitude to Novak Djokovic and his PTPA.

Argentina World No.99 Facundo Bagnis criticizes ATP president Andrea Gaudenzi He said he had no relationship with players outside of the top 20 because he didn’t realize he was. At the same time, Serbian World No.7 commended Novak Djokovic for forming PTPA (Professional Tennis Players Association) with Canada Old World No.25. Vasek Pospisil.

“I had the moment in 2020 when Djokovic created the PTPA and the ATP was so aggressive towards us that we didn’t participate. ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi has no affiliation with the players, at least not with those who are not in the top 20. He doesn’t even greet me.”

Continuing the train of thought, “I am grateful for what Djokovic has done. I saw him super involved in the tournament in Rome. He attended a non-essential meeting for two and a half hours and was playing the next day. People don’t get a chance to see this, but I do, and hats off to him.

“It was he who helped during the fires in Australia. It was he who recommended helping players outside of the Top 100 during the pandemic. History of PTPA

PTPA (Professional Tennis Association) Serbian World No.7 Novak Djokovic and Canadian Old World No.25 Vasek Pospisil. It was officially founded in 2021 as a Canadian nonprofit, but the idea to create one of its kind began in 2019.

Djokovic and Pospisil are co-chairmen for the first two years and the association includes players (male and female) in the top 500 singles and top 200 doubles rankings. PTPA has a group of nine members who are elected annually and make up its board of trustees.

PTPA aims to create transparency and fairness in professional tennis by giving more support to low ranked players. This organization is considered a revolutionary move in tennis history, but the initial formation took some hits when it was enjoyed by other top players. Raphael Nadal and Roger Federer refuses to participate.

The strong words spoken by the World No.99 Argentine are now a support for the future of the PTPA organization and Novak Djokovic.
