Launchers are our gateway to the amazing world of Android apps installed on a phone. If we don’t like the launcher, we will not like the overall experience of our phone. Sometimes, we also miss the cool features offered by the launcher. The same happens with the Samsung One UI Home Launcher. Before you get confused, Samsung calls it the pretty mouthful Samsung One UI Home launcher. So we will also call it Samsung One UI launcher.
So, let’s check the hidden features and tips of Samsung One UI Home launcher.
1. Add to Home Screen
Previously, if you wanted to add an app to the home screen from your app drawer, you would simply long-tap it and drag it to the home screen. Now, if you do that, you can’t do that. Instead, you will see the Add to home page option. While this is one way to add the app to the home screen, you can still use the traditional way.
For this, you need to hold the app icon a little longer. That is, keep holding the app icon even if its options greet you. The main screen will appear. Press and hold the app icon to add.
2. Select Multiple Apps
Sometimes you may want to perform the same task in more than one application. For example, you might want to uninstall multiple apps or move them to a different screen. Similarly, you can remove multiple apps from your screen using the multi-select feature in your Samsung launcher.
To do this, long press one of the apps. Next, tap on Select items and then select items. Select the required option from above, i.e. uninstall or remove. Drag one of the selected apps to move them to a different screen. All apps will move.
Note: Multi-select works both on the home screen and in the app drawer.
