A TikTok pixel is a piece of code you can upload to your website to track conversions. But we’re talking about specific TikTok conversions, not just any conversion. So, if you’re running a TikTok ad campaign and want to see which of your ads drive the most sales, you should jump on the pixel train.

How to set up TikTok pixel
If you’re ready to use the TikTok pixel, follow these easy steps.
Step One: Build your pixel
You will need a TikTok Business account to do this. Sign in to your account and go to TikTok Ads Manager > assets > Events.
Next, choose whether you want to watch Application Events or Web Events.
Next, click Create Pixel.
Here, you will need to name your pixel. It’s a good idea to give your pixel a name to help you remember what it’s for. For example, if you’re using it to track conversions on your website, you might call it a “Conversion Pixel”. If you’re using it in your e-commerce store, call it “Ecommerce Pixel”.

Step Two: Upload the pixel code to your website or app
The next screen you will see, Set up Web Activities with TikTok Pixel screen. Here you will have the option to install your pixel manually or install it automatically via a 3rd party.
If you choose to install your pixel manually, Manually Install Pixel Code and then click Next. Copy the pixel javascript code and then header section your website. Look for a piece of code that starts with

If you are using WordPress or WooCommerce, there are plugins that can help you upload the code. Be sure to read plugin reviews before installing, as some plugins can negatively impact your site speed.
You can also use a number of third-party apps like Google Tag Manager, Square or BigCommerce to install your pixel. To do this choose Automatically Set Up Web Activities via Partner Platforms on your pixel setup screen. Next, click Next.
Link your TikTok pixel to your third-party account. You are now ready!
How to add TikTok pixel to Shopify
If you’re using Shopify, you can add a TikTok pixel via the Shopify app or by selecting . Automatically Set Up Web Activities via Partner Platforms as described above.
If you want to set up your TikTok pixel using the Shopify app, follow the steps below.
Firstly, Add TikTok app To your Shopify Store by going to the Shopify App Store and installing it.
Then your link TikTok for Business account and yours TikTok Ads Manager account.
Under Sales ChannelsClick TikTok. Next, click Marketing > Data Sharing. Connect an existing pixel or Create Pixel To create one using Shopify.
To make sure your pixel is up and running, go to your TikTok Ads Manager account and assets. Next, click Events. If you see your pixel listed, you are good to go.
What are TikTok pixel events?
TikTok pixel events are specific actions that people take on your website or app.

What is TikTok Pixel Helper and do you need it?
It has a tool called TikTok. TikTok Pixel Helper this can help you test if your pixel is working properly.
After installing the code, install the TikTok Pixel Helper Chrome extension.
Then, aew tab in your browser and paste your follow link and then ?dbgrmrktng.

TikTok Pixel Assistant will then provide information about the status of your pixels. It can also show if your activities are running and getting data.

How to remove TikTok pixel
After you set up your pixel, there may come a day when you want to remove it. To remove a TikTok pixel, follow these steps:
- go to you TikTok Ads Manager
- go Assets > Events and Select Web Events or Application Events
- Click the three dots next to the name of the pixel you want to delete
- click To delete
Note: You can only delete a pixel if: inactive. When you delete a pixel, all data associated with that pixel is also deleted. This includes historical data And any unsubmitted events. You cannot recover this data once deleted.
