Kyrie Irving has never been outside the world of discussion. For over a year now, his name has been featured in all NBA related dramas. After several months of silence, the actor made headlines once again for supporting an antisemitic movie titled ‘Hebrews to Negroes: Awaken Black America’.

While the point of the quarterback is to show support for the black community, the movie is an adaptation of a book with a controversial theme. The former NBA champion received a lot of backlash for his actions. Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai expressed how disappointed he was with the incident on Twitter.

HE aforementioned, “I’m disappointed that Kyrie seems to support a movie based on a book full of anti-Semitic disinformation. I want to sit down and make sure he understands that this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith it is wrong to promote hatred based on race, ethnicity or religion.”

Tsai’s story ended with him saying: “This is bigger than basketball.” Kyrie Irving has always been someone who speaks out on issues that aren’t talked about or received well. The problem with the COVID-19 vaccine was much deeper than people initially imagined.

Brooklyn Nets condemn Kyrie Irving’s anti-Semitic actions
