The two teams that will be used for expansion are not new teams, but teams that haven’t played in the NBA for a while, Seattle and Vegas. Along with this news, he also states that LeBron James may be interested in joining a Las Vegas-based team in the NBA in the future. “I have some intel. I think the league will expand to Vegas and Seattle. And I think the leading contender to buy the Vegas team will be Fenway Sports Group, as you know. They own Liverpool. They bought the Penguins. They’ve been around their NBA team for a while.” said Simmons.

If he owns an NBA team, he’ll be right behind other players, including Idol Michael Jordan, who is the majority shareholder of the Charlotte Hornets, as well as teammate Dwayne Wade, who has a stake in the Utah Jazz.
