LeBron James had an illustrious career of banner dunks, bell-hits, and some pretty applaudable offensive prowess, but Skip Bayless had his career shortcomings. To say that Skip Bayless is LeBron’s biggest critic would be an understatement. Today, another chapter unfolds before us as she and Shannon Sharpe discuss the impact these Conference Finals MVPs would have had had they been presented ten years ago. Skip Bayless believes Lebron’s games in the NBA Finals aren’t all that impressive if you consider his rivalry.
Skip and Shannon took a breather after a breathtaking fiasco that culminated in yet another highlight of the NBA’s season-ending Game 7 game. The Boston Celtics are returning to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010, beating the Miami Heat 100-96 away on Sunday night. The Celtics maintained their lead among cables, responding every time the Heat ran. Miami was late and narrowed the lead to two points, but Boston managed to hold off for the win. Jimmy Butler made most of the offense for Miami and finished the game with 35 points, but Butler’s prowess wasn’t enough this time as Boston kept on their nerves as Miami suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Basically Skip Bayless, who has made a career out of beating Lebron James consistently, has yet another complaint against the tall man. Despite having an excellent resume for James to brag about, Skip believes all of his Championships have been won in the NBA Finals because there were no strong opponents to beat. From 2011 to 2018, Lebron appeared in 10 NBA Finals, 8 times in a row.
That’s exactly what Bayless co-host Shannon Sharpe did for Lebron James. Shannon went on to explain how the Conference Finals MVPs piled up on James’ résumé, giving him an edge over Michael Jordan.
“We know for sure that all of the Eastern Conference Finals will win that award, no doubt about it. It would just sweep, it would be a perfect 10-0, we know everybody knows that.” Shannon explained that Skip responded with these words:
“MThe problem with LeBron is that all these Conference Finals, especially when they started with the Heat in 2011, are all overrated, because there’s no rivalry here for LeBron, D. Wade, and Chris Bosh. Even with LeBron back in Cleveland with Kyrie, it’s still overrated cake walks. What I will give is the first in 2007Horse replied.
“To me, LeBron James was the most guarded and least criticized superstar I’ve ever encountered in his career.Skip said these lines a few weeks ago, and it’s proof that he’s not a fan of King James and his accolades. The teams James faced were not under his control and he could only beat the competition before him. The so-called “easy opponent” or “injured opponent” argument is largely flawed in the playoffs. It is therefore incredibly ignorant to discredit a team’s title race, which is Skip Bayless’ natural reaction to any Lebron James success.
The Lakers had a terribly bad 33-49 score, as they continue through this nightmarish season, they will have to make many moves to get back on track. As LeBron prepares for next season, the team will need to give him more reinforcements to restore his Lakers legacy. The one thing that won’t change is Skip Bayless will never be able to beat LeBron anytime soon.
