After a few days of rest, the Boston Celtics are ready to face the Golden State Warriors for the 2022 NBA Championship. On the same note, Celtics Star Jaylen Brown briefed everyone about her connection to Steve Kerr at a pre-game press conference, and it can certainly be considered their little-known date.
It’s hours away from the start of the highly anticipated 2022 NBA Finals series. As both teams prepare their plans for the opposition, the players are also polishing their skills for the biggest games of the season. The Golden State Warriors have been here in the past, while the junior Celtics have made it to the finals after 2 unsuccessful attempts in the last 5 seasons. Jaylen Brown, one of the most influential players of the journey so far, praised the Warriors team in a pre-game press conference and shared little-known facts about his connection to Golden State Coach Steve Kerr.
Jaylen has expressed nothing but praise and respect for his opponents and how he knew Steve Kerr before he entered the league. Nick Kerr, son of Jaylen Brown and Steve Kerr, was his teammate. Brown played just one season for Cal, averaging 14.6 points, after which he was the Celtics’ third overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. Nick Kerr was unprepared that same year.

The Boston Celtics may have surprised a lot of people by making it to the finals, but they deserve any accolade they’re getting right now. The team that has won the 17-NBA Championship in the previous 26 attempts will make their fresh run after a 12-year hiatus. In the 18 games played, every player played their part perfectly, but Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Marcus Smart have shined the brightest ever.

While people are skeptical of the Celtics’ youthful core, even during the regular seasons, they prepared themselves for every game and carried out their plans to get results. Ime Udoka searched for behind-the-scenes footage that Jaylen Brown and his crew had delivered.
In preparation for the finals, Jaylen simply praised his opponents and talked about how young Celtics players have learned a lot from the Warriors in the past. HE aforementioned, “It was pretty cool to see these guys just watching. They are probably the highest paid basketball players in the last 10 years. So I had to watch, learn, work and talk to these guys (via Nick Kerr) long before I got the NBA.”
Both teams performed similarly during the regular season. Celtics have 51-31 record In the East, the Warriors have a 53-29 record, separating both teams by just 2 games. They also split their regular series pairings with the Boston Celtics, who won the most recent match in March.
On offense, the Golden State Warriors ranked higher than the Celtics, but Boston excelled late in the season on defense. Them lead league with the fewest points allowed. Offensive we saw the strong Brooklyn Nets take on the Celtics and that could be a huge advantage for the youth team looking for their team. 1st NBA championship in 12 years.
