iPhone Amber Alerts automatically forward important alerts about missing children to iPhones, causing the phones to beep loudly and display a small alert on the screen.
US carriers now send mobile Amber Alerts and other important emergency alerts via iPhone 4 to iPhone 7 and most Android smartphones. These alerts usually contain vehicle information, but the same vehicle can also send weather alerts.
This is an important tool to help identify and track missing children, but alerts don’t always contain all the information users need to assist authorities.

If you haven’t received Amber Alerts on iPhone, but a coworker did, you should make sure Government Alerts are turned on. Grab the iPhone to get started. Go to Settings -> Notifications -> Government Alerts and make sure Yellow Alerts is checked.
If that doesn’t fix it, your carrier might not yet support the built-in iPhone Amber Alerts.
How to Turn Off Amber Alerts on Android and iPhone
If you don’t want to receive notifications for Yellow Alerts, you can turn them off on your iPhone. If you do this, you will not receive notifications at all. You might consider using Do Not Disturb to prevent your iPhone from waking you up at night instead of turning it off completely.
