How to Send Any Link from Chrome to Your Android Phone

Sometimes while surfing the web, you come across interesting articles or links that you would like to share with friends and family. To do this, you can go as rudimentary as mailing the link to yourself, or open the web version of an instant messaging app like WhatsApp or Telegram and paste the link there. However, both of these methods are often inconvenient and tedious. You can achieve the same results by enabling a Chrome flag that makes it super easy to send a link to any device connected and synced to your Google account.

Enable “Send to Self” Flag in Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome browser and type chrome://flags in the address bar.

2. Type “Send tab to self” in the search bar of Chrome flags and activated from the dropdown menu or paste the following into Chrome’s address bar.

chrome://flags/#enable-send-tab-to-self

3. When you restart the browser, a “Send to *device name*” option when you right-click on a tab or link. If you’re signed in to your Google Account on more than one device, select the device you want to send the link to.

As you can see in the image below, I sent a link from the desktop version of Chrome and it came as a push notification to my Android phone.

What I love most about this feature is that the notification appears almost instantly with no noticeable delays, making it a great solution to get things done when you’re in a hurry. That sums up our short guide on how to seamlessly share links with yourself. Let us know if you found this helpful in the comments.
