Like most of the apps owned by Facebook, the “Stories” feature is available in WhatsApp as “WhatsApp Status”. Unfortunately, users often take screenshots of their contacts’ states to save locally. But what if I told you that there is a much better way to save WhatsApp statuses? Yes that is right. And you can save not only images, but even video states. So, if you are someone who constantly uses WhatsApp Status and would love to be able to save your friends’ statuses, then read on as we show you how:
How to Save WhatsApp Status Using Status Saver for WhatsApp
- hungry WhatsApp Status page and Tap the name of the person whose status you want to save. This allows WhatsApp to upload that person’s status and save it to the device.
- Next, Download Status Saver for WhatsApp (Free) on your device. Once done, open it.
- You will now be greeted with an option to choose from Images or Videos. Depending on the Condition you just saw, Tap on Images or Videos.
- And that’s it. The status you just saw will now appear from within the app. Tap the download button To save this status for later viewing, click the button below.
Save WhatsApp Status Using Any File Manager
Alternatively, you can even use a file manager to view these locally stored states. For this, follow the steps below:
- Download Solid Explorer File Manager (free trial) or any other file explorer of your choice.
- Set route to /WhatsApp/Media. Now, Tap the 3-dot menu button in the upper right corner.
- Tap on it “File options” and then enable the checkbox next to it “Show hidden files”.
- You should now see a folder by name “.Situations”. Open this folder and find the state you want to save. To save for future viewing, simply copy and paste this file to another location on your device.

Save WhatsApp Status Stories with Ease
WhatsApp Statuses have been gaining a lot of traction lately. Thanks to the above methods, you can easily save your contacts’ statuses locally on your device. Note that these files are automatically deleted after 12 hours, so be sure to save them in a different folder.
