How to Reset Display Settings to Default in Windows 10

Often a software update can mess up your display settings on a Windows 10 PC. The typical response would be to look for a reset screen settings button. However, there is no such button or keyboard shortcut to reset or return to previous display settings in Windows 10. You will need to adjust each setting individually as shown in this post.

It’s not always a software update that changes display settings. Sometimes while messing around with the settings or a child may have accidentally changed various display settings. Not sure which setting was actually changed. Here we have covered how to change most of the display settings on a Windows 10 computer to make things easier for you. These are colors, text size, contrast, etc.

Let’s roll.

Note: Most of the steps below require you to open Windows 10 Settings. You can open it from the Start Menu or Action Center. Alternatively, use the Windows key + I keyboard shortcut to open Settings.
