After a few years of stuttering, Google Allo can finally rest in peace. That’s right, Google announced it killed the chat app Allo. The service will stop working after March 2019. If you are one of the few users who enjoy using Allo, this is a sad day. To help you with that, in this article, I will show you how to export Google Allo Data to your smartphone:
Export Google Allo Data
The steps to export Google Allo data are pretty much the same for both Android and iOS devices. However, there are a few differences, so we will go through the steps for both platforms separately:
Transfer Google Allo Data to iPhone
Google Allo makes it really easy to export your user data. Just follow the steps and you will be able to export both messages and media from your chats:
- First, launch the Allo app and Tap the hamburger menu at the top left of the app. Here, tap on “Settings”.
- Now, scroll down to find “Export messages from chats” and “Export media from chats” option. Tap both options one by one to export the data. When you tap on one of the options, a share sheet will open. Here you can choose to copy the data or email it to yourself, WhatsApp and more.
How to Transfer Google Allo Data to Android
Just like on iOS, exporting Google Allo data on Android is pretty straightforward. Here’s how to do this:
- First, launch the Allo app and Tap the hamburger menu at the top left of the app. Here, tap on “Settings”.
