For those looking for a large smartphone with a bright and clear display with a large font and easy to read without glasses, the LG G3 may be the perfect option. To make it even better, LG G3 font size and style can be changed easily and we will show you how.
Screen size is a big part of any user decision when it comes to choosing the right smartphone for your needs. These days, more and more smartphones are offered in large 5.5 or 5.7 inch sizes, such as the new LG G3 or Galaxy Note 3. Many elderly users and those with poor eyesight are fans of these large devices.
Big smartphones are a growing trend. So much so that the upcoming iPhone 6 will finally be able to compete with some of the bigger phones in the competition. Rumor has it it will feature a 4.7-inch screen, the largest iPhone screen to date, but that’s nowhere near the 5.5-inch screen size or resolution of the new LG G3. If you need a big phone, the G3 is a great choice.
Besides having a huge 5.5 inch display with an extremely crisp and clear 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD display, the LG G3 has some options in the settings to boost the font. Not all phones offer such a feature and phones with a lot of fans as not everyone will like the same screen size, font or style.
My mom upgraded to the Galaxy Note 2 for the bigger and easier to see screen and can customize the font size. It was then eventually upgraded to the Note 3 for the same reason. A small phone and a small font are useless to him, and the same may be true of your friends, family or parents.
If you’ve recently bought or are considering buying the new LG G3, we briefly describe below how you can change the font style and size for those who need it.
Instructions
Trying to read text on a tiny 4-inch iPhone isn’t the easiest task, not to mention that a wide variety of Android smartphones don’t offer any customization when it comes to fonts. Of course some apps like Textra SMS and a few other apps provide these customization features, but if you want your entire device to have a large and easy-to-read font, here’s how to do it.
On the LG G3, you will have to go into settings by pulling down the notification bar and pressing the top right gear-shaped settings button. You’ll select the third column listed as “display” from the settings menu and land on font and font style. And it’s that easy.
As you can see from the picture above, the LG G3 offers six different font sizes for those who want to change things up. It’s set to medium by default, but a quick tap and refresh will instantly make it smaller or much larger if needed. Max may be overkill, but for those who need it, having this feature available is a godsend.
After choosing the size you want, owners can also change the font. We’re not fans of the few pre-installed font options, as most of them make the phone look silly or messy at times. However, everyone is different and this is another way for the user to add some style and character to their new LG G3. There are also a few different font styles below, but they will also change the size. The stock font will be more readable at larger font sizes, but try them all and see what works for you.
This much. It only takes a few seconds and you can change the entire overall look of the LG G3 by tapping the settings. Add that to the other customization options they have out of the box and this is one of the most customizable smartphones available today.
