The fact is that the company began to observe that each group interpreted the rules of the game in a different way.

The biggest controversy related to UNO involves an alleged “strategy” in the card game, which has now been debunked.

The practice of many people was to play a +2 card after the +4, thus avoiding the penalty of having to take four more cards for themselves and still losing their turn to play.

However, Mattel clarifies that this tactic is not allowedcreating a debate about the rules of the game.

“If someone puts down a +4 card, you must draw four cards and pass your turn. You cannot put a +2 card so that the next person takes six cards. We know you’ve already tried.”
