Rumors have been circulating on social media about the possibility of an official announcement of the release of the game “Mortal Kombat 12”. This has generated expectations and anxiety among fans of the franchise!

“Mortal Kombat” is one of the biggest and most popular action game franchises. The game was first released in the 1990s and has since become increasingly successful with each new release, being well-known for its realistic, bloody and brutal fight scenes.
For this reason, and due to the success of the latest game in the franchise, fans were excited about the information posted on Twitter by Windows Centra journalist Jez Corden about “Mortal Kombat 12”.
All that is known so far is that the game is in production and scheduled for release this year, according to a statement from Warner Bros. Discovery, in an announcement made in a conference call.
In this announcement, no specific dates or information about the game’s characters or story were revealed. Even so, Jez created expectations by suggesting that official information would be posted in May.

There is no doubt that an official announcement could come in the coming weeks, as Jez puts a lot of his reputation and trust as a journalist at stake when he suggests this sort of thing.
Another rumor involving a supposed date for the “Playstation Showcase” event in the same month, gave strength to the speculations spread about “Mortal Kombat 12”. Since a big event like this could be the perfect environment for an official announcement.
It may not be the launch of the game itself, however, a trailer would be enough to delight fans and players of the franchise, who have been eagerly awaiting new releases since the incredible success of “Mortal Kombat 11”. Until then, all we can do is wait for new news.
