Pokemon Go December Community Day is a two-day event featuring all of 2021 and 2022 Pokemon featured on their Community Days. For account keepers, this is over 20 different Pokemon and their evolution, which trainers can catch, train and earn special bonuses. Of course, trainers will want to catch Shiny variations of each featured Pokemon, and they’ll have good luck this weekend.

How to Catch Shiny Pokemon on December Community Day
As with past Community Days, the rate of finding a Shiny of the spot Pokemon will be increased during the event window. While it is purely luck based, there are a few techniques trainers can use to give themselves the most encounters and the chance of finding a Brilliant.
For Pokemon in the wild, trainers must use an Incense to lure the Pokemon to their location. Of course, the Incense trainer works better when walking, so we recommend going outside to make the most of this tool. Fixed trainers will still attract Pokemon, but less often.
Also, traveling to a PokeStop or Gym is another great way to find wild Pokemon. This Pokemon will spawn in both places. Trainers can also use Lures in PokeStops to lure Pokemon to that location.
These are a bit more difficult for Pokemon that only appear in Raids.
They won’t appear as often as Pokemon found in the wild, but fighting and defeating as many Raids as possible will help trainers find a Shiny variant. Don’t forget to get your free Raid Pass whenever you can.
As for eggs, use the half cover bonus and roam as far as possible while collecting 2km Eggs from PokeStops. You can also use Super Incubators to halve the hatching time again, but it’s best to use your regular Incubators as hatching will only require walking 1km.
