The fans of electronic games have reason to celebrate, especially if, by extension, they are Netflix subscribers.
Supergiant Games, developer of the renowned ‘Hades’, announced that the title will be available for free to iOS users, through Netflix’s mobile gaming initiative, on March 19.
A Netflixexpanding its presence in the gaming universe, offers subscribers an exclusive selection of titles through the Netflix Games category in the platform’s application.
Now, ‘Hades’ joins this list of hand-picked games, alongside big names like ‘TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge’.
Availability and access
Pre-registrations to access ‘Hades’ are now available, and once released, the title will be available to all Netflix subscribers on iOS, including iPad users.
The iOS version of ‘Hades’ was developed in partnership with Secret 6, known for its expertise in high-quality conversions and ports.
The launch trailer offers a glimpse of roguelike gameplay adapted for the iPhone touchscreen.
Thus, it maintains the graphics and challenging experience that established ‘Hades’ as one of the best games of 2020, with a nomination for the Game of the Year award at the The Game Awards. Check out the gameplay below:

The game’s roguelike style implies that each defeat is a new beginning, but the accumulated treasures and powers can make the journey more palatable.
It is important to note that the iOS version of ‘Hades’ is exclusive to Netflix subscribers, accessible through a common subscription to the streaming service. There are no plans for the game to be released on Android.
In addition to iOS, ‘Hades’ is available on other platforms, such as PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
