The closing announcement of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U shutters is a disaster for the history of video games. Companion posted a video detailing how he managed to purchase and download all of the two consoles’ blinds. In his own words: “I purchased ALL games available for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U from the Nintendo eShop before it closed. It was expensive, it took time, but it was totally worth it.”
You could say The Completionist is truly dedicated to this task. The numbers of his epic are impressive. It will have taken 328 days to download 866 Wii U games and 1547 games for 3DS. This includes DSiWare games, Virtual Console editions and downloadable content. When all consoles are combined, the total weight of all transferred games is about 1.5 TB.
