Maps in games like ‘GTA’ and ‘Minecraft’ are vast fields of exploration, offering players the opportunity to delve into expansive worlds brimming with possibilities.
However, when we talk about titles that explore space, the scale becomes even grander, expanding to other planets and galaxies.
Titles like ‘Elite Dangerous’, ‘No Man’s Sky’ and ‘Star Citizen’ allow players to travel between solar systems and explore different planets.
However, many of these games have a peculiar limitation: when boarding a spaceship to explore, the transition between planets often involves a loading screen, eliminating the continuous feeling of exploration.
Instead of providing a fluid experience of traveling through space, players are abruptly transported from one planet to another, missing the opportunity to experience the vastness of the universe in an uninterrupted way. But there is an almost infinite map.

‘Garry’s Mod’, known for its flexibility and creativity, stands out as a unique example. Recently, modder Alexandrovich released a map called 1:1 Multiverse (2048 Universes) for ‘Garry’s Mod’.
However, this is not a typical playing field interactiveis more of a contemplative experience than a game in itself.
The map is monumental, being 2,048 times larger than what would be assumed to be the size of our universe, but it is not accessible to everyone.

32GB RAM recommended
To fully enjoy 1:1 Multiverse, at least 12 GB of RAM is required. The modder recommends 32 GB for a good experience and, surprisingly, 64 to 128 GB for an optimal experience.
Additionally, it is impossible to add planets or solar systems to exploration, as this could overload the map and result in crashes.
In this virtual place, players can roam between multiple galaxies, zooming in on some of them to discover the details.
However, interaction options are limited, transforming this experience into something closer to a visual journey than a conventional game.
1:1 Multiverse illustrates the ongoing search for unique experiences and the ability to push traditional gaming boundaries.
