The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Award-Winning Post is an incredibly valuable source material used to craft various high-end armor sets for the final game of MH Rise’s massive DLC. However, it’s not actually found on any of the monsters in Sunbreak – instead, you’ll have to hunt a deer-like animal in the Temple Ruins and see if the odds of harvesting the Prized Hide after you’ve done that are on your side. . We’ll explain below what these animals are and the fastest way to raise Prize Pelt at MH Rise Sunbreak.
How to get Rewarded Hide in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak
To obtain the Prized Hide in MH Rise, players can kill one of the following small creatures, both of which have a drop chance:
– Kelbi (30% chance to carve)
– Anteka (18% chance to scavenge)
The reason you’re having trouble finding this material is probably and understandably because you’ve been filtering through all the eligible monsters in the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak monster list and checking the documentation to see which one might drop this material. But there will be none, it’s purely the purpose of these deer and deer knockouts respectively, so you’ll hardly need Monster Hunter Rise’s best weapons to take them out. These encounters also need to be in a Master Rank/MR quest, as any less will prevent them from dropping the material completely. If you attack them at a High Rank or a Low Rank, they will never drop the Hide.
When you find a Kelbi or Anteka, kill it and make sure to carve it with the A button for a chance to get the Prized Hide. If you simply kill it, it won’t drop Pelt as loose material like some creatures do. Even then the chances aren’t great so you may need to kill a few people – but you can make the process as efficient as possible using the process outlined below.
Farming Award-winning Hides
To collect Prized Pelts as quickly as possible in MH Rise Sunbreak, players must install the following system:
- Equip a fast hitting or ranged weapon
- Go to the Temple Ruins in the Master Rank (MR) Campaign
- Head to northern zones 11, 12 and 13 (the last one is particularly good)
- Look for Kelbi (horned deer with withered blue fur)
- Kill them quickly as they will scatter and flee when they approach
- Carve corpses for a 30% chance in Rewarded Hide
- Go to other areas and cycle through them to see if Kelbi respawns – if so, repeat this process.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to increase their drop rate, but considering Kelbi dies quickly when attacked, once you get a handle on killing them before hitting them once you can work through the process pretty efficiently – and there’s no faster way than typing. to get the Rewarded Skins we know.

Prized Pelts are used to craft certain, if not all, endgame armor pieces from Sunbreak. Still, it’s a key component in some powerful hardware pieces, like the Khezu Coil X, and it’s worth having a few Award-Winning Pelts in reserve should you ever want to build this type of specialized equipment.
And just to be clear – Award-winning Skins are different, distinct objects from the Monster Hunter Rise skins we’ve outlined how to achieve in the accompanying guide. Despite the similarity, they are used to create different things and are definitely not interchangeable.
