How to use The Sims 4 debug cheat to unlock more objects

How to enable Sims 4 debug cheat

Before you actually use The Sims 4 debug cheat, you need to open the cheat console and enable cheats in the game by following these simple rules:

  • The Sims 4 PC cheats: Hold down Ctrl and Shift then press c
  • Sims 4 Mac cheats: Hold Command (⌘) and Shift, then press c
  • Sims 4 PS4 cheats: Press and hold all four shoulder buttons simultaneously
  • The Sims 4 Xbox One cheats: Press and hold all four shoulder buttons at the same time

You will know you did it right because a text box should appear at the top of the screen where you can enter your cheat codes.

Sims 4 debug trick

The Sims 4 debug cheat gives players access to a whole new set of objects that wouldn’t normally be found in Build Mode. If you want to release all those hidden hidden objects, here is how.

After enabling cheats, you should type testCheats towards the console. Then there are two codes to use:

  • bb.showHiddenObjects
  • bb.showLiveEditObjects

bb.showHiddenObjects Enables ‘Buy Debug Mode’, meaning players can access hidden, playable objects such as collectibles, rocks, trees, bushes and more.

Duration bb.showLiveEditObjects It gives players access to an even wider range of objects totaling more than 1200, including items such as decor, trees and even cars.

The important thing is that you must enter bb.showHiddenObjects Before using bb.showLiveEditObjects though, make sure you enter them in a specific order and you have to be in Build Mode.

Once you have them in, go to the Build Mode search bar in the lower left corner of the screen and type debug. Select one of the **DEBUG** options to access all new items.
