‘Hogwarts Legacy’: Player Discovers Great Trick to Defeat Trolls Quickly

Since its release, thousands of wizards around the world have been playing Hogwarts Legacy. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can play it for free via a trial, albeit for a painfully short time.

Many of them are modifying the game to include more spells, discovering new details about the game and trying to kill immortal NPCs. There are also players who have been finding different ways to kill trolls.

In their latest adventures, they have discovered an ingenious way to get rid of the trolls with minimal effort. These creatures are a major threat in this game, being giant monsters that can quickly knock the player out if they are not careful.

They are also usually quite resilient, being able to take a lot of damage before finally falling; that is unless you abuse forbidden curses like a true dark wizard.

However, one player has shared his own method of dispatching trolls quickly and efficiently.

How to take down a troll with a single blow

Reddit user “confusoplayer” created a post with the following message:

“Tricking a troll into falling off a cliff seems like a more realistic strategy than fighting it with a wand.”

The video posted by the player shows him luring one of the beasts to a cliff, jumping on a broomstick, and safely watching the troll fall to its annihilation.

The monsters are big and strong, but cleverness doesn’t seem to be one of their greatest attributes.

Several players praised the strategy — many wishing they had thought of the idea during their own endeavors.

“I’ve been playing this game wrong.”Why didn’t I think of this before? I was playing yesterday and had to fight two armored trolls at the same time.”

Ooh, I’m trying this asap.”

That’s what internet users said.

Evidently, the trick used by confusaplayer is much more efficient than prolonging the battle with long spell combos, or you can simply hit them with an Avada Kedavra and end it all.

Fans of “Hogwarts Legacy” are great at having fun and uncovering more and more hidden details in the game — a good example of this is when one player created his own side quest involving a fish he found on land.

Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users still have to wait quite a while before they receive their acceptance letter, after several delays in their version of the game.
