Have you ever thought about creating your own electronic game? City Hall offers free course

In partnership with the Saga Games Institute, the city of Goiânia will offer a training course in the area of ​​electronic games. This is a chance that many people have been waiting for to enter the gaming universe once and for all.

According to the Municipal Secretariat for Human Rights and Affirmative Policies in the capital of Goiás, the idea is to encourage young people to take advantage of opportunities in the gaming industry, as it is a growing market that generates billions of dollars a year.

In 2022, Brazil was in the top 10 of the largest markets for games in the world, according to data from consultancy Newzoo.

In total, there are more than 100 million players in the country and they spent the equivalent of US$2.7 billion, which could reach R$3.5 billion in 2025.

How to participate?

To guarantee your place, you must register via Saga Games Institute website. During the process, young people will be informed about class times and days.

It is worth noting that each CPF can only be enrolled in just one available course. The classes will take place at the Saga Games headquarters, which is located at Rua 9, nº 339, in the Center of Goiânia.

Registration has been open since February 5th and will be available until March 1st. Classes are expected to begin shortly thereafter, on March 5th.

In total, there will be 300 places for young people aged 14 to 29 and the course will be completely free, with a workload of 8 hours, divided into four classes. Meetings will take place once a week.

Skills

Among the course options available, there are: Game Development, Animation in After Effects and Design in Photoshop.

During the month of classes, registrants will improve graphic design skills, advanced programming, techniques for creating animations, special effects, 3D graphics, rendering and others. In addition to the technique, the idea is to stimulate creativity and innovation.
