Halo Infinite error codes and glitches can be really frustrating to deal with, even if they are not very common. While it’s possible that the problem is caused by an update or a hidden bug caused by server issues, sometimes a fix for Halo Infinite is needed to clear things up. As Halo Infinite updates, new error codes and issues will emerge, so we’ll continue to update this page as they arise to make sure you’re always in the loop. Whatever you’re looking for when it comes to Halo Infinite error codes and their fixes, just look below.

There was a problem with the dedicated server
If this message pops up after clicking Halo Infinite multiplayer, it probably means you don’t have the error. When the “Problem with dedicated server” message appears, it usually means that the Halo servers themselves are not functional at this time. It’s reassuring for your own copy of the game, but it also means there’s no fix you can apply to fix the frustrating issue. Restart the game and check your own internet connection to make sure your connections are valid, but if that doesn’t help, check with any of the official Twitter accounts to see if the developers have commented.
There was an issue with Halo Infinite servers
Halo Infinite crashing on PC can be an annoying issue, here is how you can fix it.
This is a simple one – click on the multiplayer game modes and a message will appear saying “There was a problem with the servers that became infinite”, preventing you from choosing the actual option to play the matchmaking game.
Often times this is because you don’t have the latest version of Halo Infinite and the servers aren’t working on the older version you’re playing. This is easy to fix – close the game, check for updates and make sure they are downloaded and installed. There should be no further problems at this point.
Error Code 0x80070424
This seems to mainly affect PC gamers, and from what we understand, it appears to be an issue with installing the game via the Xbox App or similar. It’s unclear what exactly went wrong here, but from what we understand, the most successful approach is to do the following:
- Make sure all related apps, including apps you launch, are updated to their most current builds via the Microsoft Store.
- If still not successful, right-click on the Start Menu and select End, Repair and Reset each.
- After that, search for the Powershell application, run it as administrator and enter the following command: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -“$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
- Try reinstalling Halo Infinite.
If that doesn’t work, all we can suggest is to contact Microsoft customer support and get their two cents on the matter. In fact, it’s usually a good backup plan that doesn’t work right away for any of these fixes.
Error Code 0x00000001
Another issue that seems to be affecting the installation of the game, this actually broadly affects any game from the Xbox series downloaded to PC. In this case, when you usually try to open the game, you will instead be taken to the Game Services page in the Microsoft Store.
This is a little simpler and usually means you need to update something basic – usually Game Services, the Xbox App, or even your Windows operating system. Make sure each of these are as up-to-date as possible and try again.
Error Code 0x8007003
This error is pretty similar to 0x80070424 (catchy names, right?) and we’ve seen some logs of the same fix working here. However, if that doesn’t work, there’s also a fix that seems to have helped some people:
- Open your computer’s Settings app
- Select Accounts, then Sign-in options, then scroll down to Privacy
- Turn off “Use my login to automatically complete setup of my device after an update or reboot”.
- Restart the computer.
Error Code 0x80070005
This seems to prevent players from loading the game after a certain point, usually around 49%. Here are a few potential issues with a few potential fixes.
- Make sure you have free space on your computer to download the game. To be sure, make sure you have at least 10 GB more than you think you need.
- Firewalls and antivirus software may be blocking the download. Turn off Real-time protection in Windows Security or equivalent software you are using.
- Run Disk Cleanup on your computer to get rid of the conflicting files.
- If the game was downloaded and installed but you still get this message, it could be because of an error that means your account doesn’t have permission to play. Try playing offline or contacting customer support.
