Unsurprisingly, things are going to hell in Gotham City, where familiar criminals like Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze want to take advantage of the situation. Knowing the best ways to take down enemies in battle and level up faster in Gotham Knights will significantly improve your progress, so we’re here to provide essential tips. If you’re ready to elevate yourself to superhero status, follow our Gotham Knights tips and join the criminal underworld.

1. Try different characters to find your match

Right at the start of the game, you have to choose between Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin or Red Hood as your first superhero, but in Gotham Knights you’re not up to that decision as long as you can switch characters after the first few characters. Missions Whichever character you use, your overall player level will continue to increase as you progress, meaning you won’t be powerless when you switch to a different hero. Note that each character has their own pot of Ability Points that they can spend on unlocking their individual abilities and moves; so if you make a pass, make sure you unlock their basic skills otherwise you’ll wonder why you can’t Perfect Dodge. more! Some characters are better suited to certain playstyles than others, so experiment with them to find the right one for you.

2. Scan and tag enemies to prioritize them in battle

When you reach a group of enemies to fight, take your time to scan them all by first holding down the AR button and then hovering over each one until they’re tagged. Not only will this let you track their location, it can also help you prioritize who to kill first when the battle begins. We recommend first the armed enemies, then the enemies with other projectile weapons, then the remaining melee, leaving you with wild beasts to focus on individually and complete everything.

3. Use ranged attacks to block guns and bullets

While in combat, watch for the circle icon appear on the enemy’s hand and a target below you on the ground, as this indicates they are about to fire a ranged weapon at you. If you can, push the left stick in their direction and tap the ranged attack button to destroy the item before it launches, or be prepared to get out of the way before it hits you. The same is true for armed enemies aiming to shoot you – the white beam means you can hit them with a ranged attack to cut them off, but the red beam means they can’t be stopped, so be prepared to run.

4. Keep up the inquiries

If you have scanned all the enemies in a group, you will see that one is red. ? They have the icon on their heads, which means they can be interrogated when their health drops to a low level. It’s worth doing these interrogations wherever possible, as they’ll give you more information, which will reveal new Pre-Planned Offenses that you must complete to unlock the Knighthood abilities section. When the enemy’s health is low enough to be captured, you can interrogate them, but keep in mind that this action may be interrupted by other enemies, so either hide them until the end or do it in enough space to avoid being attacked.

5. Collect any Health Packs and Recovery after the fight

If you’ve just taken on a large group of enemies, you’ll probably be bandaging yourself and you may have gotten rid of a few Health Packs. Before leaving the area, look around to make sure you don’t miss any item drops – larger brute enemies tend to drop a Health Pack, indicated by a floating white when defeated. + icon, but you wouldn’t have picked it up automatically if you weren’t with them when they fell. Additional health is always useful during long Night Watches, and you’ll often find Salvage for crafting and customization as well.

6. Pay attention to all the main goals

Now, this may sound obvious, but make sure you don’t overlook it. all one of the main targets listed for an area in the upper left corner of the screen. There was a point on a mission to rescue scientists from the STAR Labs in Gotham Knights; Here we spent a good five minutes eliminating waves of enemies with corpses piled up all over the place before accomplishing two main objectives that must be completed at the same time. the enemies would never stop coming in until the second target was marked, which would have saved us a lot of time and effort had we known from the beginning.

7. Complete bonus objectives to level up faster

For most mission segments and Intentional Offenses, when you enter the area you will receive a list of objectives to complete in the top left corner of the screen, with one or more bonus objectives usually at the end of it. Watch out for these, because they’re usually pretty simple like doing certain removals or interacting with certain items, and each one you complete will add some bonus XP to your grand total. By completing these bonus objectives regularly, you’ll level up faster and gain access to new skills and abilities sooner.

8. Don’t waste your time fighting GCPD

You’ll see GCPD Officers all over Gotham City, and if you’re not saving them from danger, then it’s safe to say they’re not the biggest fans of superheroes – they’ll start attacking and even appear if you get too close. If you scan it with AR, it is colored red as a threat. However, defeating GCPD members in battle won’t gain you any XP or Recovery, so it’s not worth your time to fight them, and you should give the law ample space to avoid unnecessary conflict.

9. Always check for Chests in mission areas and crime scenes

When you clear an area, take a quick look around to see if there’s a Chest nearby, whether it’s part of a quest, Designed Crime, or a random encounter. These caches are usually stored in or around these areas, but can easily be overlooked and lost when you leave the location. Tap the AR button to scan the area and you will see any Chests appear in purple, which you can then follow and open to get some Rescue for future equipment crafting and customization of your gear.

10. Don’t stress too much about AR Research solutions

At various points, you’ll need to explore crime scenes using your AR Research tools, scanning the area for various clues before selecting or matching relevant items to solve the crime scene. Usually these are pretty simple to find based on item descriptions, but if you’re having trouble finding the right answer, don’t panic – after making the wrong choice twice, a prompt will appear in the lower left corner allowing you to Jump. If you go to the solution, you will continue to receive your XP and other rewards if you use this route to complete the research.

11. Quick trip to the Bell Tower to finish the Night Patrols

Finally, after completing your current investigations and crime-fighting during a Night Watch, you can quickly head back to the Belfry to quickly move things forward without having to wander around Gotham City. Highlight the Bell Tower on the PC map, then follow the Fast Travel command to get there immediately – this will refill your Health Packs and Smoke Grenades on your return, but will also remove any unsolved crimes from the map, so be sure to do so.
