What lifestyle options should I choose in the character builder?

When you start GTA Online, the first thing you will be presented with is the character creator, where you can choose various lifestyle options to determine how your character spends a typical 24 hours. These change your player stats and to some extent your appearance, but to be honest the effect is minimal and has little effect on the actual gameplay, so you should focus on the appearance part of the character creator instead – you’ll spend a lot of time looking at your avatar and your overall look once It can be very expensive to make further changes once locked, so make sure you’re happy before you start the game. You’ll also be able to try the GTA Online Career Builder, which will help you get off to a good cash start.

Can you skip the GTA Online tutorial?

After creating your character, you will board a plane to Los Santos International Airport and start the training section. You may see a prompt with the option to skip the GTA Online tutorial, but you should definitely not see it as it is an invaluable introduction to the mechanics of the online world. Lamar Davis will pick you up and guide you through the basics including races, quests, shopping and robberies, as well as introduce you to a few other useful links. Players have also had issues in the past with getting missions to complete if they skip the tutorial, so make sure you play as it really isn’t that long.

What should I do next?

When the tutorial is complete, the whole world of GTA Online opens to you in Free Roam mode and you can do whatever you want. This is the perfect opportunity to get out there and explore so you can see exactly what’s on offer. A good activity to start with is to steal vehicles and, if they’re on the wish list he sent you, deliver them to Simeon or take them to a Los Santos Customs office so you can sell them. Both will bring you profit, but there will be a time lag before you can fence another vehicle in the same way.

If you want a slightly more structured activity, turn on your phone (up on the d-pad), then select the Worklist or select Quick Job Play to find the recent tasks you were invited to, and then select the type of task you want. jump in. You can also select a specific task by pausing it and going to Online -> Jobs -> Play Job, and then browsing through what’s available. Working through Jobs is a great way to detail the story of what’s going on in the world of GTA Online, as well as bring in new and familiar characters while earning money and leveling up.

How can I stop other players from upsetting me?

Most GTA Online players you meet will be friendly, but due to the nature of Free Roam, you can sometimes find people who just want to cause chaos. This can be frustrating especially if you want to wander and explore the streets of Los Santos, but another player is chasing you and constantly hitting/crushing/blowing you up. If you find yourself in this situation, there are several steps you can take to improve the situation.

First, if you open the Interaction Menu (long press the M or PlayStation touchpad or Xbox view button on PC) and scroll to the bottom, you can Activate Passive Mode. This will prevent other players from interacting with you, but in return you will not be able to use any weapons or use melee attacks. If this is affecting your current activities, you can pause it, then go to the Online -> Players menu, highlight the player in question, and then select Kick to suggest they log out – if enough other players agree and do the same, they will be removed. Finally, if you want to get away from them either pause and choose Online -> Find New Session, or choose a Job to jump in and you’ll leave the troublemaker behind.

How do I restore my health, armor and ammo?

As in GTA 5, your character’s status is measured by two factors, health and armor, which are shown as green and blue bars, respectively, under your radar. To regain your health, you can consume snacks by purchasing them from vending machines. Conveniently, you can buy and stock them by visiting grocery stores, then open the Interaction menu and select Inventory, then Snacks to increase your food and health on the go. There is also a shortcut to this action by opening the weapon wheel and then tapping the d-pad.

Body armor is purchased from AmmuNation stores and again this can be stored in your Inventory and equipped as needed. The type of body armor selected determines how much of your meter will be reloaded when you apply it, and you can choose not to have it displayed on your character or if you prefer to avoid interfering with your current outfit – showing or hiding your armor doesn’t change how effective the armor is. While ammo is sold in AmmuNation, you can also purchase it from the Inventory menu, and although a convenience fee is added to the cost if you take this route, it’s definitely worth it if you find yourself running out of ammo during a combat.

Do I need to buy a property?

There are different types of properties that can be purchased and these properties give you various advantages for owning them. Garages allow you to store tools for your personal use, so it’s worth getting one as soon as you can afford it. To see what’s available, open the Internet on your phone, then select the Money & Services tab at the top and visit Dynasty 8 Real Estate. When you have a little more money, you should invest in a luxury apartment, as these not only provide a base of operations and a place to change your clothes, but also have garages to store more tools and a planning room where you can. Prepare a robbery. You can find more details about what you need to do for this in our guide on how to buy a house in GTA Online.

Then there are the commercial properties that can open up brand new task flows to complete. Offices (purchased from Dynasty 8 Executive Realty) let you run cargo and vehicle missions, while Maze Bank Hostage sells you everything from motorcycle clubhouses and nightclubs to massive underground bunkers. All these business activities require time and plenty of initial cash to get started, so don’t worry too much about them when you start.
