All The Last of Us 2 Tutorial locations

The Last of Us 2 tutorials are special collectibles that provide new upgrade branches and skills that you can later purchase with boosts. You’ll need to find these books to get closer to your best self, so we’ve outlined all the locations of the tutorials in The Last of Us 2 and how to get them for yourself. Personal development for the game! Well, that and hitting the clickers with planks.

With that in mind, here’s a full rundown of where to find all the tutorials on The Last of Us 2. Make sure you get them, as you probably won’t have another chance in the promotion; to reboot or reload another record to get them.

At the courthouse, when looking for gas in Downtown Seattle, head to the basement next to the elevators. You’ll find your first tutorial on The Last of Us 2 here.

While exploring, pay attention to the gas station. There are WLF soldiers in and around it, but there is another training manual in the bookstore across the street. Once inside, you’ll have to sneak past some infected, including a click. When that’s done, you’ll find the book next to a typewriter in one of the side rooms.

When you see the Liquor Store, enter through the window and go down to the basement. There are a couple of Shamblers here so be careful but you can get around them and crawl through a hole in the wall. This opens into a children’s bookstore and you’ll find the instruction manual next to the corpse by the counter.

In the apartment shown in the picture, go up to the first floor and turn right and enter the residence through the door. Note the locked door on the right and when you reach the end of the circle you will see a workbench. As soon as you start using it, you will be attacked by WLF deserters. Fight them and then check the previously locked room. You’ll find this The Last of Us 2 tutorial on the bed.

From this point on, it becomes very difficult to talk about the events in The Last of Us 2 without giving any plot spoilers – so players who haven’t reached levels beyond The Seraphites should stop reading until they do! But for those who get to that point and understand why we put a spoiler alert, read on.

When you reach this street (not long after Abby sees the WLF trucks through the window), break the window of the shop on your left and look for a safe behind the shop. Use the combination 68-96-89 to open it and get a tutorial.

When you fight the huge Seraphite woman with the huge hammer (who steals your backpack), head to the Auto Shop. When you enter the kitchen area, immediately turn right and the tutorial is on a pair of drawers next to the broken window.

After falling off the highway, head towards the ferry. When you pick up the Crossbow, there will be a safe code on a piece of paper at the end of the hall (90-77-01). The vault itself can be found on the upper deck with a Runner nearby. Once you reach the top of the boat you will need to immediately turn left and then you can hide and kill the Runner and open the safe for Abby’s final training guide.
