All Elden Ring Blaidd questline locations and walkthrough

The Elden Ring Blaidd questline locations are located around Limgrave, Caria Mansion, and Caelid, but will take you farther with other quests like Ranni’s and the Elden Ring Sorceress Sellen questline. Half-Wolf Blaidd offers one of the best questlines in Elden Ring, and at the end you’ll get a Royal Greatsword and Blaidd’s armor set, as well as Wolf Mask, so you can cosplay as the really big bad wolf. That’s why we’ve put together all of the Blaidd questline locations from the Elden Ring below, along with a full walkthrough, reward list, and even Blaidd’s lore and background!

Frankly, spoilers for Elden Ring in general regarding Blaidd’s quest and the character of Ranni. You’ve been warned, Blackened!

Blaidd is in certain positions depending on how far you’ve come in the questline – as you complete his objectives in one area, he will move on to the next. The problem is that some of these objectives are story or boss progression dependent, so players may accidentally trigger his mission and cause him to act unexpectedly without ever speaking to him. Fortunately, we’ve outlined every place it can go in (rough) order, and the mission objectives below.

Small point, but make sure you exhaust his dialogue while talking to him. This should work for all characters, but it applies here too – when talking to Blaidd or anyone else, keep pressing the “talk” button until they start repeating the dialogue. Once he starts saying the same thing over and over, you can move on.

1. Blaidd ranks first in the Mistwood Ruins.howling from a higher vantage point. Go there, then talk to Trader Kalé at Elleh Church (near the Tree Watch) about it and he’ll teach you the Thumb Clipping gesture. Head to the ruins and look for Blaidd at the highest point, then look for Finger Shock to jump down and get him to talk.
2. Go to Forlorn Hound EvergaolThe extra-dimensional prison in South Limgrave. Blaidd will be there as a summons – use him to defeat the inside boss Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, then talk to him again at the Evergaol entrance. It will give you a Gloomy Mooring Stone (2) and guide you to Liurnia.
3. Talk to Ranni in Ranni’s RiseThe tower is reached by passing through the garden of Üç Sisters from Karia Mansion. He will reveal that Blaidd is one of three maids working for him, and even is there in ghost form after talking to him.
4. Go to the Siofra River Take the Siofra River Well in West Mistwood, then hug the right cliff, crossing the Hallowhorn Grounds until you see a Torrent Spirit Super Jump Tornado Updraft thing (technically called Spirit Springs, but nobody actually remembers it). If Blaidd is here, he’ll be standing on the edge of a cliff very close to there. Talk to him to find out about his suspicions about Seluvis, he will ask you to talk to the Sorcerer Sellen.
5. Sellen is below the Waypoint Ruins to the East of Agheel., and to get to it (if you haven’t already) you’ll need to defeat a small boss named Mad Pumpkin Head. Talk to him and he will drop the name of a character named Radahn. Head back He will go to the Siofra River to pass this information on to Blaidd, and he will offer to form a team against Radahn.
6. Now go to Redmane Castle in Southeast Caelid and kill the demigod boss Starscourge Radahn. You’ll have to fight through the entire castle to get there, and Radahn himself is one of the toughest fights in the game – if you’re having trouble with that, here’s how to beat Radahn in the Elden Ring. Blaidd will be in the arena as a call. When you finish the fight, go to the highest point of Radahn’s arena and talk to him about the mysterious shooting star.
7. Return to Forlorn Hound Evergaol once again and try to enter – Blaidd is locked inside! Release him and talk to him, but from this point forward, Blaidd’s questline essentially becomes Ranni’s questline; You can check out the Elden Ring Ranni questline and its secret ending here.
8. Return to Ranni’s Rise after completing Ranni’s questline (or just outside) to see Blaidd again – only this time the aggressor and he’s out to kill you. There is no way to calm him down, fight him, save him from his misery, and end the questline forever.

When you kill Blaidd in Three Sisters, he will drop his Royal Great Sword and armor, a powerful Colossal Sword that scales to Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity. Blaidd’s armor set is heavy but protective, and it’s one of the better sets for those who build their character a little more solidly (not to mention it looks pretty cool).

The only missing piece is the Wolf Mask, located in the Seluvis’ Rise tower just south of Ranni’s Rise. As you approach the entrance, jump to the left wall and go up to find the mask on the corpse.

Players can go to Blacksmith Iji at any point after Step 2 of the questline for an additional reward. It will have added to your inventory for purchase the Carian Filigreed Crest, a Talisman that reduces the FP cost of Ash of War arts by 25% (not a bad addon).

Here’s a brief summary of what’s actually going on in the story, at least as we understand it: Half-Wolf Blaidd is literally the servant of the mighty Ranni the Witch because she was either created to serve her or at least somehow divinely attached to her – but only he has to be his servant maintain divine order. Ranni is supposed to obey the Supreme Will and Blaidd to help him – but Ranni has gone rogue and that complicates things.

To begin with Blaidd killing a traitor named Darriwil, this seems like a smaller pet project that doesn’t matter in the broader sense, but Blaidd often helps Ranni achieve his larger goal of subverting and asserting the laws of the world. Power for himself rather than Great Will.

The problem is that Ranni is not supposed to do this – he is literally violating his cosmic purpose – and his battle against the Great Will will drive Blaidd crazy. He opposes Erdtree and his divine nature by helping him in his rebellion, so when you complete Ranni’s questline, Blaidd’s mind suddenly explodes and goes mad, something he knew was a possibility but convinced himself it wouldn’t happen because he cares about Ranni. and she wants to help Ranni achieve her goal as she joins her cause despite knowing her own risk. That’s why you find him trapped in Darriwil’s Evergaol – his friend Iji put him there because he saw what Blaidd was thinking and thought it would be safer for everyone.

Unfortunately, there’s no possible happy ending for Blaidd, at least if you’re determined to complete Ranni’s quest. Either he goes mad forever in Evergaol or is knocked down in combat by the player. Either way, this is a sad dog.
