Chelsea Manager Thomas Tuchel has been accused of making comments to referee Anthony Taylor after the heated match at Tottenham.

Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham earlier this month, Thomas Tuchel made some statements criticizing referee Anthony Taylor, for whom he was fined £20,000.

After Harry Kane’s last equalizer gave the Spurs a point, Tuchel suggested that Taylor should no longer be allowed to oversee Chelsea games. The derby was a heated competition and both coaches were eventually ejected when Tuchel and Antonio Conte mingled on the sidelines and received a one-match touchline penalty and a £35,000 fine.

During the match, the referee made a number of controversial decisions; one was not punishing Cristian Romero for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair before Tottenham’s late equalizer. After the match, a petition with 160,000 signatures was launched to prevent Taylor from overseeing Chelsea matches.

The conflict between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte

Chelsea and Tottenham managers were fined for unsportsmanlike behavior after the match. Antonio Conte of Tottenham and Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea were fined $15,000 and $35,000 respectively. Also, Tuchel was suspended for his next match.
