Meanwhile, after choosing to go bowling first, India rallied Pakistan in 147 with the help of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s four-door pull. Pandya gave an all-round performance in the match and swam all three goals.

Virat Kohli and Jadeja scored 35 points, while Pandya had an undefeated and fast 33 laps over 17 balls, four border and one single six, helping India stylishly avenge their 10 wicket losses to Pakistan last year. He was awarded the Player of the Match award.

“We wanted to play until the end, they have a very good bowling attack, fast bowlers give nothing,” said Jadeja after her critical hits.

“I could have finished the game – a left winger versus a left handed player but Hardik played great.”

“He came out and said he’d play his shots, and he’s happy to stay until the end,” Jadeja said.
