Among the best teams in the history of the Indian Premier League is the Kolkata Knight Riders. The team won two championships in the competition, the first of which was beating the Chennai Super Kings in the 2012 final. After that, they won their second title by defeating Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in IPL 2014 final. KKR won both titles under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Since then, their journey has had ups and downs. Although they made it to the playoffs in some seasons, they never went further. However, the two-time IPL champions somehow made it to the finals for the third time. They locked horns Chennai Super Kings Second time in the final but lost the summit clash.

Kolkata Knight Riders head coach Brendon McCullum arrived in Mumbai ahead of the team’s pre-season camp. The former KKR player will start his new chapter as head coach. Former Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer will be looking forward to leading the Calcutta Knight Riders at this Year’s IPL 2022. He’s been in rich form lately. They have also signed some important deals for the upcoming season. A few franchises have started going to practice courts to prepare.

KKR has released a video of their head coach Brendon McCullum and some of his players playing foot volley. Sharing the video on social media, KKR wrote: “O man! He’s a GUARD ????⚽️ in a row saved from the manager. Footie sessions in ????”.

TRNC reveal pre-season kits

A new kit has been introduced by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchise made the announcement via its social media accounts on Friday, March 18. Venky Mysore, General Manager of the franchise, and Shreyas Iyer, captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side, were present during the launch.

In a Twitter video on the official KKR side’s Twitter account, Iyer presented the jersey and wore it himself. The jersey features gold and purple accents with the Kolkata Knight Riders logo displayed in the upper left corner. However, there are some minor changes to the design.

The official Twitter account of Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted, “KKR 2022 jersey appears with Shreyas Iyer”. You can watch the full video of the uniform presentation below.
