“The photo of Sachin I clicked while watching Federer” – Roger Federer’s ardent fan Sunita Sigtai shares the story about his precious asset

Roger Federer and Sachin Tendulkar are two legendary athletes that the world has witnessed in modern times. Tendulkar is an ardent fan of tennis because he likes to be on the court to watch the matches. When asked who his favorite tennis player was, his answer was Roger Federer, one of the greatest of all time. He never concealed his admiration for the great tennis player; I met him and he even asked for advice on how to play the forehand.

Sunita Sigtai, one of Federer’s superfans, shared some of her earliest and unique memories while watching a match at Wimbledon. Wimbledon will soon begin from June 27 to July 10, and their official social media is running fan-shared videos of their memorable event at Wimbledon. Sunita said it felt like one of the unique moments she witnessed when she saw cricket watching tennis great. Read her story below.

“I was in the stands cheering for Sachin and Roger” – Sunita Sugtai

“Well, my earliest memory is of camping in the skyline at night, under an umbrella, without a tent. It was raining, it was pouring, yes, that was my earliest memory when I first visited in 2008. My grandfather used to play tennis. We were a sports-crazed family, a family that followed cricket as well as tennis, so I was introduced.”

“A unique moment for me was when I saw Sachin watching Roger as if I had seen him for years. Especially coming to watch Roger’s play. This is when Sachin walks into the royal cabin and cheers for Roger and I see both Sachin in the stands. And I was supporting Roger, you know, it was a unique moment, so that was a unique moment for me.”

“My most precious possession, 2011…Sachin was watching Roger and I managed to get a good shot and when I pressed it it was like a good picture and Sachin was coming to play at Eden Gardens. That’s why I managed to catch him at the hotel before the match started. Two days before they go to warm up, practice or something. So yeah, I remember Sachin being like going out and I opened the picture in front of him and he was so curious, he left his set and everything and he doesn’t talk much, you know Sachin is very quiet so I told him Sachin had this picture of you watching Roger at Wimbledon He said I clicked on it, so he flipped the picture and signed where his picture was in the Royal box, he and Anjali were both there. And yes, I gifted the same painting to Sachin,” Sunita added.
